Stupid installation question

    It's been months since I last monkeyed around with my Droid so I've forgotten a lot of things. Do I install v0.5 by renaming it to Update.zip and doing the update in SPRecovery? I'm currently running BB .9 from way back when...

    if using sprecovery, then yes rename to update.zip.

    if clockwork, no need to rename.

    also, Peter Alfonso read all the instructions

    Also, will I need to use Titanium Backup to get my apps/widgets/screens back?

    when it asks me to set up my google account, do I enter that info, or is it still going and I need to wait longer?

    Your apps are associated with your Google account so they will automatically restore.
    Yes touch and enter your Google information

    Thanks! Now my only problem is that my email doesn't seem to be syncing! It just says "your email will appear shortly"

    You can install a new kernel if you want if BB .5 isn't fast enough. See what kernels r recommended for BB .5 on this forum and check out the link overclocking 101. If sync isn't working turn it off and then on again under accounts.

    Check the sync settings

    Tap menu, tap settings, tap accounts & sync, make sure auto sync is checked then tap the account and check what you want to sync (contacts, mail, Picasa, calendar).

    I did that, but it says that sync is experiencing problems and will return shortly. It's said that since last night :(

    The only other suggestion I have is to delete and reenter the account.

    It's doing it for three separate accounts :/
