Hi, I am stuck. I have already rooted my phone (through sdk and adb) and I used rom manager to flash CM 6.0 on and I installed a theme from sd card earlier this week. Now I was trying to put a new and different theme onto the phone but when I go to install from sd card, it reboots and then gives me an error about not finding dev\block\mmcblk0p1 a bunch of times then cancels the installation. I tried to just restore my phone to an earlier backup when I know flashing still worked... but I cant do that either because of the same reason.

Does anyone know how I might be able to get around this, without buying a new card?

Thx in advance for any help.

try mounting it on your pc. Copy anything you want to keep and then reformat it? That may work

Sent from my Droid using DroidForums App

Try reflashing Clockwork -- or do the unthinkable and flash back to SPRecovery and try use that instead and see if you still get the same error. That would help eliminate your SD card from the equation.

well I tried to simply reformat the sdcard but it still didnt work but then I cleared partition cache, formated sd-ext, and mounted it and I don't know which of these fixed it but one of them did the job.

    Thanks for the help guys

to the OP, did this issue come back?

I just fixed it by reformatting and now the issue is occurring again, just hours after i reformatted. wtf. i hate this error.

B/c of this, ROM Manager can't install roms automatically. I always have to hope i get lucky and can install from SD and do it manually.

I keep getting the "E: can't mount /sdcard" and it's especially annoying b/c i can't load my nandroid backup! halp!

Clean the contacts on the SD card with a toothbrush, make sure it's not any larger than 16GB because some 32GB cards have issues with these phones, ditch ROM Manager because it sucks, scan the card in your computer to check for bad sectors, and this is just for starters. :)

    - should i use just soapy water to clean the contacts?
    - card is 16GB
    - hahahahaa. I Really only use RM to check for CM updates. I manually install 99% of the time. Just thought it'd be nice to have the option now and again.
    - scan it using defrag?

Thanks for the quick response. I have boatloads of time this evening now that i had to flash a stock sbf with RSD and root again and blah blah blah. Grr.

I just use the aptly-named Team Douche repository.

    TeamDouche Mirror System

And don't get that card wet at all. Just brush the contacts.

Scan it using a PC using the scandisk tool. ;)

Word of warning; the one person I know who has flashed the stable 6.1 ROM had bootloop issues.

i'm having that problem too. but it's only after installing a kernel. I can get it to work just fine but after adding the P3 low voltage kernel i get a bootloop.

thanks for the input on my error. i'll report back what i've found.
