    Hi,

I have a droid 1 and was running the last stable cyan mod 6 and tried to upgrade to 7. Now I am stuck at the cyan loading screen. I have tried all of the following.

    1) Rebooting ....
    2) Hard reset with and without the sd card inserted.
    3) I cannot get to any of the recovery screens..it immediately goes from the Motorola logo to the cyan 7 logo.

I apologize in advance if I left something out but I am not sure what to do next.

    Thanks:icon_eek:

    Argh! - Cyanoload fail

I seem to be having the same problem as you. I just get stuck at the same loading screen (friendly little man skating in the circling arrow). Please let me know if you find any answers?!

Alright, the issue is most likely that you did not wipe your data when you flashed the ROM. That being said, it doesn't mean you have to delete everything and start all over. Simply shut down your Droid device (remove the battery if necessary). Once it's completely shut down, hold down the volume button (either up or down) before also holding down the power button. This should take you to the bootloader. Once there you will find the 'Factory Reset' option which will allow you to wipe your data. Once done, reboot your device and it should work. (Be sure to give it a bit of time, first boot always takes a while.) Voila~

I hope this helped because it helped me. I know you use a different device but I figure they're all relatively the same.

Bootloader? I believe you hold the d-pad up and power, but why not just boot into recovery (hold x when powering on) and use whichever recovery (gut feeling says clockwork mod) to wipe and reinstall?

Exactly, no need for bootloader options here. Go into recovery, wipe and flash again. There appear to be some very relevant differences between Incredibles and D1. Lets not assume we are talking about the same recovery options.

Thanks for the advice you guys but if I use the "x" plus power on button, it goes from Moto logo to the same C7 loading logo.

Ok guys I am getting desperate here. I have tried factory resets, tried to get to the boot loader and just about everything else I have found scouring these forums. No matter what I do... my droid comes up with the moto logo and then jumps straight to the C7 loading logo. Short of throwing it against the wall..I am clueless as what to do now.

use a stock sbf ... the recovery partition could be corrupt or you just don't have a recovery installed

i would use a 2.0.1 sbf so you cant easily root with androot or something like that .

EDIT: how did you factory reset if you cant boot into recovery?

That was my point, I couldn't do a factory reset or any type of recovery. I finally got RSD lite to reset it back to stock. Now I will just reroot it again. Thanks for all the suggestions.

you could have flashed RZ recovery via .sbf and been able to do all that without having to start over. And I personally prefer RZ recovery anyways

I just suggested a stock sbf because I've never been able to use anything sprecovery based.. phone never mounts /system, quite a few people have the same problem.

Without wiping I was able to load RC2 by loading Pete's stock gb first then I could get passed the boot animation.
