Streaming audio/video apps..how long??

sup fellas..i was just curious how long its "safe" to continually stream audio/video,primarily audio to my droid. i notice the battery gets very hot when i do for a considerable amount of time. it seems kinda pointless if we're "limited". i know its because of the constant d/l of data that heats the battery. anyone got any clue? i usually use Droidlive sometimes while driving or just sitting at the pool.

i dont think there is a time limit per se. I ran my droid using just the Map and it got up to 135 degree...and ran it for an hr.

yeah...i just didnt want to screw the phone by overheating the battery for an expanded amount of time i guess, if thats even possible
