    Is there anyway we can get stock android on the d3 without cm or any otger skin or mods to it?

    Unfortunately no. The only factory build for the D3 is Gingerbread with Motoblur. You would only get aosp on the D3 with a custom ROM. Or if the D3 ever gets ICS but who knows when/if that will even happen and who knows if Moto will put a skin over ICS so it technically wouldn't be pure aosp.

    I think what you are looking for is an AOSP ROM - not sure which ones are for the D3.

    Yes, AOSP is pure Android (AOSP is Android Open Source Project) - pure Android, no OEM overlays or frameworks.

    I am not rooted, but it appears to me that Liberty3 ROM is the closest to pure Android.
