Should I.shut.off data sync after 15 minutes? Emails are important.....

My custom settings are 9pm t0 5am off-peak.
Turn off data after 15min.
peak hours data is set to 45minutes. Display is set to auto.

My phone is always on Wifi (work and home). I am rooted so have set the scan rate to 3 minutes instead of the default 90 seconds.

Brightness on auto. Autosync is on. Only a few widgets (weather, soundhound, calendar) and the weather widgets are set to only update every 6 hours and only on Wifi. Check any widgets you have running to make sure they aren't constantly updating.

No facebook/twitter constantly running. My emails (corporate sync) are set to 30 minute check, not constant push.

I ALWAYS let my battery die, or at least get to 5%, before I plug it back in and then it gets fully charged.

Since getting 2.3.3, I find my battery lasting a heck of a lot more than with 2.2. I used to be at 30% after 7 hours use...now it's still at 60%....

How old is ur DX and battery? Have you checked out the extended battery?

3 months old.

Isnt the extended batery big? Is that what your using?

I do have to extended battery.. It is basically the same size. It's 1mm thicker, and still works great with my Otterbox. It only adds a few hours of standby time but that got me from 30 hours to occasionally hitting 36
