I need help to update then to the most recent version of Froyo. I think I might have followed an early thread and got the first version of it. What do I need to do to get the latest version? Is froyo-BS-20100608-0313 the latest release? Do I just do a nandroid restore on that? Or do I need to do anything else?

I had the same thing happen to me the first time.

I had to wipe cache then wipe cache/data x3 (not sure if it's just 3 but I did it 3 times anyway) and then flashed and it finally took.

Check # 8 and 9 in dmartins guide...

When installing the update.zip (deprecated) it stops like a quarter the way through. But it says "install from sdcard complete". Is this normal?

The process bar has nothing to do with the update.zip installation.
If it says complete then it's done.
I had it do the same thing.

You are suppose to lose all your apps.
It should get redownloaded after you log in with your google account.
I used ES file Explorer to install the new version of flash from this link,

Yea the download from here is the froyo-BS-20100608-0313 one.
This is the one I am using now and it works fine.
I haven't tested if it downloads all tha apps but others say it works.(Updating from the old leak you don't have to wipe data or cache)
After you install you need to reinstall the kernel(now using 125 - 600) and then do the market fix update.

Pretty much that's it. You don't even need to be rooted, when you install it the latest version roots your phone. So it's just a matter of making sure that SPRecovery is on your phone, and you can install that without rooting and then grab the latest release. That's the one on the front page of our news section in "More Froyo."

That's the same question I had. I am new to the world of root but I couldn't wait any longer for froyo so I did the deed yesterday but I don't think I have the latest froyo on my phone. How do I get the newest version on there? I don't know what i tmeans to install a market fix or a kernel, Im still really green as far as hacking my phone, I want to do it safely but I want the newest version of froyo too. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
