Still haven't received 2.2 update for Droid

I have a Motorola Droid and I still have not received an update for 2.2. Everything I've read online has indicated that the update went out back in August. Is it still ongoing? I DID receive some type of notification regarding the update a few weeks ago. Under Settings>About Phone>System Updates there was an update available but whenever I tried to download it would not even start, then it just up and disappeared one day. Any advice or input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
