I ordered a Thunderbolt :icon_ banana:(w00t)dancedroid and am giving my OG :motdroidhoriz: to my mom. I want to keep the phone rooted for the free wifi tethering but I need to get it back to a stable ROM. I've been running liquid but keep encountering minor issues with my camera/gallery/wifi/gps and my mom will not be able to cope with this. She doesn't live nearby so I can't just keep updating her ROM either to fix any issues. She is never going to use any of the fancy bells and whistles so I'm aiming for stability and simplicity. I suppose it doesn't have to be a stock ROM but it does need to be bug free.

    What's the best approach here?

That was my thought too but I'm fairly new to ROMs so I was looking for input.

In your opinion is my best option here to restore the droid to factory and then just re-root? That seems like it would be the cleanest approach or am I creating more work than necessary for myself here?
