    Hey all,

I've been running SS 4.8 (and 4.7 a few weeks ago) and I ran into this little issue that is a bit unpredictable. If I swipe the main screen wrong the status bar will disappear from sight and there is no clear way to get it back. It will just eventually re-appear. Any thoughts on how to prevent this problem or anyone else that is seeing the same thing? Thanks!

Are you running ADW launcher? it should require a flip up to bring it back and flip up to hide it (off the home screen). you can change it in the settings. if thats whats causing your issue!

EDIT: the setting is called "hide notification bar" i am not running adw right now so i cannot direct you to the settings, i apologize.

Yeah, just swipe up to get it back.

Yeah, that did it. I am running ADW, but I didn't have the "Hide Status Bar" option checked off. Either way, probably just a little glitch that is now easily fixed with a swipe of the phone. Thanks!

yes...its a launcher effect (not the ROM)

also...you can hide the dock by holding the app drawer and slightly swiping it up. To get the dock back...just swipe down near the bottom where the app drawer would normally be.

I did this like a security type features for my 11 year old. I hid the status bar, and the dock and asked her to look at my phone....she didnt know how to use it for anything. Couldnt open apps, etc. Kinda tricky.

You're not actually hiding the app drawer by swiping it up in ADW launcher. You're swiping up another dock bar that allows you to attach up to 6 apps. When empty, it looks like there's nothing there but try dragging an app from the screen to it.

Somewhere in the ADW settins are choices for up and down swipe actiions. You can set them to activate a number of things or disable them if it gets in your way.
