start / stop application via command

    Hey guys!

    I was wondering if somebody could help me out with this...
    Here's my problem: I have 2 apps installed (Setting Profiles and Call Confirm). Setting Profiles allows me to execute a command based on certain condition. I was hoping to issue 2 commands: kill Call Confirm when one condition occurs and start Call Confirm when another condition occurs.

    So, does anyone know what commands are used to start/stop certain app/service?

    P.S. I'm non-rooted Motorola droid 2.1
