it seems i only get notifications pushed to my notification bar AFTER i've opened my twitter app..

sometimes i forget to open twitter and wonder why im not getting any notifications...

Get rid of Tasker and get MacroDroid.
    Launch it.
    Select Add Macro.
    Select Device Boot.
    Select Launch App.
    Select Twitter.
    Select Force New.
Select the arrow on the top right.
Select the arrow again on the top right.
Name the Macro and select ok.
    Reboot your phone.
