Have a new droid 2 running 2.2 and tried the mobile hot spot feature. Fired it up and was able to connect with my iPad. Life is good... that is until I try to access a page using SSL. It takes me to Verizon's page and tells me I have to enroll in their $20 service. I phoned Verizon and they said I can't use the mobile hot spot feature on the phone until I enroll in their $20 service. I tried to explain it worked on all but SSL pages, then gave up. Anyone else have this problem? better yet, anyone know how to get past it. I don't want to add another $20 to the bill:mad:

Root with Z4Root and then install one of the dozens of free wireless tethering apps available in the market. Bam.
