the Sony Launcher is not a system application, so you can uninstall that as you would any application.
(Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Downloaded)

or if using Root Explorer, it will be in Data -> Apps

I just wanted to say that I really like this Rom. I made the switch from P3 Droid's GPA 17 Rom.

Ok I am a newbie to rom's and such. I just rooted my phone today, I am currently running the stock rom 2.2.2. I just downloaded this ROM Simple Stunning Gingerbread v5.5 (2.3.5). I was wondering what the steps are about installing this rom. I see talk about wiping, and such and I am not sure what that all means. I do understand doing a Backup before installing a new ROM, but everything else is Greek to me.
Any help would be great thanks! And sorry if this is covered somewhere else, I have tried searching but can't find a step by step guide.

Welcome to the Forum ducmon! I have a pretty good guide bookmarked that I am going to link for you. Check it out and if you need clarification make sure you ask. The only problem is I will be away from my computer for a while so I do not know how promptly I will be able to respond to you. I will be glad to later though.

It is located in the Rescue Squad Guides section which would probably be a very good place for you to look around and read up on stuff being new to root and ROMs and all that good stuff. HERE it is.

Thanks JSM9872! I installed the rom successfully... But I am having a slight issue.
Anytime I try to download new apps from the Market I get "The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I am running SS 5.5 and I flashed it over a stock rom.
Do I need to try wiping again and reflashing?

Did you install it with a full data wipe or just cache? If ony cache then yes definitely do a full wipe and then reinstall the ROM. If you did a full wipe then I would just try fixing permissions, I always use ROM Manager to do that. If it still persists then I would say a redo of the ROM would be in order.

Unless of course this is a known issue in SS 5.5. I can not be sure since I have a Droid X. We would need someone else to chime in and let us know if that is the case.

Is it ideal to, wipe dalvik cache from time to time to keep the rom running smooth? Because i noticed every rom i use its starts to get laggy over time and doesn't feel as smooth as when i first, flash it.

Does anyone know if the screen capture ability is an .apk that can be extracted and put on another rooted phone? I've had too many screen capture apps and have hated all besides this one; the power button screen capture is simply awesome!
