i just wanted to bring this to the attention of the forum. I've tried using SS4.6 and installing it multiple ways. My temps have been astronomical every time(regardless of my setcpu profile, as i've tried many). Also, my battery life is suffering significantly. Needless to say i'm back to SS4.5 because it's been as stable as a rock for me. I'm thinking this has something to do with the FRG01B stuff that's in it. According to numberous reports FRG01B had some issues with overheating with light usage and battery draining.

Who else has had any similar issues w/ SS4.6?

Try using a different kernel. Chevys kernels run too hot and kill the.battery on my phone, but p3s work fine

Even after extended use of my phone, my phone goes up to a max of like 107. Chevy's kernels/roms have always worked great with my phone. I've got to send him some beer money!!

i installed 4.6 and i'm having issues with the phone even booting up. force closes all over the place. so i'm trying a clean 4.6 w/p3droid kernel. lets see if that works. =)

maybe i'll see if i can get a ULV chevy kernel to load up

I had some bad heat, battery, and overall stability problems with the low voltage kernal, but as soon as I went with his medium voltage kernal, the problems instantly disappeared and it's running solid as a rock now.

its been more of a froyo thing for me. it scores great but 2.1 just plain worked better and faster.

mine started at 102 just front getting to this page and is at 118 now typeibg this. I've seen well past 130 trying to watch video.

but flash is useful so I deal with it. even thou my keyboard is falling off and I think its from the heat. I've tried lots of stuff and given up. 4.6 have been the best for me.
