Square, step aside Amazon wants some of the action

It took awhile but you are now starting to see more and more businesses turning to square to handle transactions. It's easy and convenient for both merchants and customers. Merchants can swipe the card and keep the line moving and customers get either a text or email alert of the transaction. Now Amazon want to get in on the action. Be interesting to see how much of a dent they can make and how they will tie it in to their Amazon Prime and Amazon Store.

From the reviews, it appears the app will currently run on only THREE Android phones (it amuses me that it won't run on the Amazon Fire phone ), and you cannot use your existing Amazon account.

It looks like this was released prior to sufficient beta testing.
