This just in! HTC has finally received technical approval to release the Marshmallow OTA update for the Sprint HTC one M8. According to HTC VP Product Management Mo Versi the update should begin rolling out tonight. That was posted about 8 hours ago which means that many of you have already seen the update. If you have not received the notification to update head to settings, about phone, check for updates.
These updates are normally rolled out in batches. This prevents a bad update from killing everyone's phone at once. If The update kills the phones from the first batch they can kill the update and get it fixed before rolling it out to everyone else. Updates are probably pretty taxing on OEM servers, rolling out updates makes the process more efficient for everyone.
