Spreading out the cost

I recall, many moons ago, that one could spread out the cost of a phone over the life of the contract, ie. an installment plan. Does that still even exist? It'd make it easier to pay for the Droid X + 32GB card.

I didn't with my current phone, but the one before I did, but that was 4 years ago.

if you add it to your bill maybe you can? but other then that im not sure how that works I know i did it on my env 1 awhile ago
