speech to text and swype

    speech to text and swype???

    Is there a way to access speech to text from the swype keyboard?

    I was wondering the same thing ... might have to wait until a newer swype comes out, though the speech recognition kind of blows chunks for some reason. It's in dire need of update / training.

    No way to do so with the current Swype beta release. And I don't see that changing quickly. You have to understand that Swype is not primarily focused on designing their product for the Android market, much less for the 2.1 version of the o/s or the Motorola Droid subset of that subset.

    If Swype elects to include speech to text functionality, I suspect it will be technology that is available for more than the android market.
