Sound question

I have a Droid X and wanted to know if there is a way to turn off the sound when you get new emails (totally annoying) but keep the sound for calendar alerts/alarms. Thanks for your help!

You should just be able to open your email app then press your hardkey menu button and select account settings. Then press select ringtone and select android system and there should be an option for silent.
