i downloaded rom manager from the market to download cyanogen which was a big mistake dont really like the clockmod and i tried the unrootupdate.zip to unroot my phone and just make it stock all over and start from the begining. sooo how do you delete clockmod and just go back to stock? should i use dm upater? would that overwrite it?

dm should overwrite it. But if you truly want it to be clean, do a full restore with the sbf file.

If DMupdater shows the "back to stock" (unroot) button available I'd try it. If not then you would have to use this: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-help/24707-unroot-unbrick-your-phone-using-sbf.html

Yes. back int he day, if you royally f'ed your phone up you could take it to verizon. They had a "special file" they could apply in bootloader to restore your phone back to good ole 2.01 not even activated. Cures all problems. Well...fast forward to today and someone leaked that file. You can do this at home at your pc pretty easily. so the sbf file in the easiest wat to explain it is the factory restore file.
