Something annoying...clouds on my home screen when unlocking

I wonder why the steps that Cromo8 took are not working for you. I'm out of suggestions, sorry.

Weather and flipclock has the same option to disable, if you have that.

It's actually the addon for weather and flip clock that has the option to enable animation when unlocking...uncheck that.

Finally figured it out. It's a setting on the Weather Widget Forecast Addon.

If you have root access you can remove HtcWeatherWallpaper.apk
That's what was causing the cloud effect on my HTC Hero. Though it may be called something different on another phone or ROM.
You can remove it through windows command prompt with the following code:
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/HtcWeatherWallpaper.apk
If you haven't rooted your phone, these instructions probably don't make sense, but you'll likely understand once you go through the process of rooting.

That was the only cool feature for HTC phones when I had my Eris. I rather liked that.
