Question...it just tried to update again. (I'm at work so my phone has to stay in my truck) and again said error. Why? I'm on stock 4.3 and uprooted :-( but it still failed to install update.

From what I understand. KK is designed to look for any changes. If you do not install the official stock OS, the update will continue to fail.

Just booted into download mode to see...... knox is at 0x0 and everything says stock/factory

It could be anything stopping it.. Usually some file or something it detects as not official even if you are officially on stock rooted.. It's good that it fails.. I wouldn't want to take the OTA.. There is no gain in doing so..

Couldn't get it to reroot. Kingo said no device connected. Tried everything. Kies even had trouble connecting to my device. Perhaps it was because my windows isn't official. ....

Did you try Kingo 1.1.6?.. Not all versions are working but I know older ones like this one worked.. I used it on my Mac running pararrells.. Check that thread I linked AZ posted older versions.. Last resort vroot but you need to flip to SU version after root.. Bc it installs some other Super User thingy

I tried several Kingo versions just like last time. The only thing the computer sees it as is a storage device.

Yea. And USB debugging checked and unknown sources as well. I'm going to use a buddies computer this weekend. It's gotta be the unofficial os stopping it for some reason.
