What happens when you hold X down while powering on? A few weeks back, I had problems after ROM Manager updated the clockworkmod recovery and tried flashing a theme. It would boot straight into bootloader. I was able boot into recovery and load a backup. If not then you may be first I've heard of to brick a droid. So sorry for what happened!

You should be fine. I don't think you've bricked it as long as it boots into bootloader. Here is a link where someone got the same error as you.....He had to reflash the phone multiple times, but it finally worked. I am hopeful you'll be back up and running in a little bit...

HA!! nope, i was flashing it on my lunch because I was trying to overclock rooted 2.1 without a custom rom and froze up on the Moto screen... I didn't have a nandroid available so i was just going to flash and reroot real quick at home and she ran for the phone and out she came...

Good news though boys, looks like the new SBF file i was able to find seems to be working!!! I don't think i'm bricked!! Thank you ALL for your help! I didn't get ONE response from anyone at ALLDROID... thanks DroidForums.

DF is awesome, people are very very cool... very patient with "noobs" such as myself!

On a sidenote, your signature made me laugh. We have a 2.5 year old and a 16 month old, and we've had a few 2.1 "scares" recently... but when I'm at home, my phone stays on top of our armoire which they have yet to figure out how to get on top of... YET
