Ok so... i think im gonna make the jump from 1.1 to 0.4 (then to 0.5 when it comes out cuz i wont have to wipe right?) i have a couple of questions though.
    1. whats a good backup tool? i want to restore all my programs and stuff, i really hate wiping but with a good back up prog its not that big of a deal. *edit* i've used mybackup pro and it stinks!
    2. can i change the color of the keyboard in 0.4? the on screen one :)
    3. does it come with flash? or do i have to download it from adobe or?
    4. I know these questions have probably been asked 19203120938 times, so i thank you all for answering them one more time for me. Thanks!:icon_ banana:

    1. In my view, Titanium Backup is a must-have for easier ROM switching. I recommend you buy the license, as well, so you can use the batch options. The rule of thumb when restoring using TiBu is that it's okay from ROM to ROM to restore items in white and green fonts, but stay away from restoring anything listed in red font. What has worked best for me is to allow the Market to reinstall all of my Market apps, then use TiBu (and the guidelines above) to restore data for those apps, as well as non-Market apps and data.

    2. In order to change the keyboard color, you will need to load one of the many themes available.

    3. You need to download flash and it's not on the Market. You'll find it here: http://www.droid-life.com/2010/06/17/download-flash-10-1-beta-3-for-motorola-droid/.

    4. You're welcome!

Making a complete nandroid backup before you do this isn't a bad idea either.

Don't switch if you are a heavy Pandora user. You'll regret it. It sounds terrible on Froyo.
