just got off the phone with verizon about my phone dropping data NONSTOP... they informed me that a "software update" was coming in September... I'm taking that with a grain of salt... but at least they mentioned that it is coming.... unfortunately doesn't seem anytime soon

Call back 9 more times and talk to 9 other specialists, and you'll get answers including "tomorrow", "next week", "soon", "after the election", "never", "I think Bionic already has ICS, or was that the RAZR?", and "there is no such phone as a Bionic". Oh, and you'll get cut off the other two times - while they check.

I called them today to have them replace a charger unded warranty and didn't even ask about ics. Who cares? I've got my ice cream and anybody that wants to sack up and take responsibility can have it too. BTW the moto warranty rep today had zero problems with me wanting a moto branded charger instead of generic crap that verizon sends you under warranty.

Yeah, an ecomoto with a 1 meter cable. A few months ago when one of my other ecomotos died they sent me the razr max dual usb charger with 2 one meter cables. I hope i get that lucky again

Well, I am on ICS also but I would still like to get a more polished offical build tht fixes the couple of issues I have with the lapdock. Mainly, the audio at full blast issue and the keyboard is still jumping all around on me when typing.

I would not recommend 238 u cant flash back to 905 an receive the ota u will have to wait for a dev to make a script to move u forward 232 is the latest ics leak that is fxzable back to 905 an is also as good as 235 an 238

I just spoke to a rep because I just started dropping 4G after almost a year of owning this phone., He confirmed a software update coming mid September, however he said it appears to be a gb patch and NOT a new OS. Now I'm not saying we won't be getting ics in September, so dont take my post that way, but given the update history of both Motorola and verizon I wouldn't be surprised if this update is in fact just a fix for gb.

BTW I'm running the .232 leak, have been for about a month and a half - two months, basically since the leak came out.

If it's GB I'll stick with 232 until an ics ota comes, unless I go ahead and jump to 238. This is not moto's fail. It's all on verizon as far as I'm concerned.

If it's a new GB update, how would we FXZ so that can get the ICS OTA?

If your on 232 or below you would have to fxz back to 905, then take this ota patch and stay on gb until the ota ics, unless the 235 & 238 leaks are compatible with this newest version of gb, which could be why their security settings changed preventing the fxz back to 905. Again that is if the update the rep spoke about was only a patch and not ics.

I am actually fxz'ing back to 905, not because of this update, but to see if it cures my data drops that just started.

I find it odd that they didn't acknowledge that early q3 has come and gone after linking you to a site that still states that date. Early and mid q3 are gone. Late q3 starts day after tomorrow. So they effectively told you that we were 31 days or less from ics.
