Came home for lunch, connected to wifi, and my Note 4 began downloading a software update.

Update 1: Update is pretty small. Vzw's site has no info yet.

    I don't have a mobile data toggle anymore. :(

Thanks! Pretty underwhelming. Added this info to the OP.

Yeah, not much here. I think Gear VR support was intended to be the main part of the update. I was really hoping for VoLTE support myself.

I figured it was for the Gear. I hadn't experienced issues with wifi myself, but if they made it better, good. I'll.

Don't think I know anyone else who's excited for VoLTE, so it's not like I could use it with friends & family anyway.

I would like some lollipop action though... Haha

Totally unrelated to this update! My Edge shipped that way.

I used it on my S5, and it's really great. There's a big difference in the voice quality. It's going to eventually be the standard on Verizon, so the sooner it rolls out to more devices the more useful it will be.

I thought so as well. It would drive me nuts to dig that deep into Settings if I didn't have it automated. I use it a lot while at work. At home not so much.

I used it a lot the last couple months while I was saving mobile data for my road trips now that I dropped unlimited, but I'm good with my cap beyond that, so I leave it on now except when I'm at home and connected to my network. That way, if wifi happens to drop (hasn't that I've noticed, as I mentioned), I'm not burning mobile data in the foreground or background without realizing it.
