I have never experienced this until LGB 1.2 but once in a while my phone will do what I will call a soft reboot. It does not display the Motorola M logo like a normal startup and just plays a quick boot animation and then the lock screen pops up. It does not show the SD card mounting icon either. It is pretty quick. Not as long as a normal reboot. It happened with 1.2 and is now doing it to 1.3. I wiped a million times (boot and system too) like the instructions said. Anyone experience this?

Soft reboots can happen because of a memory shortage or the phone temperature being to high. Its usually got to do with the Rom's performance during usage.

I would try a different Rom to see if it does that as well.

I doubt that it is temperature in my case. It will do it after simple things like sending a text message.

I have found turning off "screen off animations" in Liquid Settings stopped this. Don't know why though or if it is the placebo effect.

Sending a text message? lemme guess, you are typing with the physical keyboard, send the message, close the keyboard and press the sleep button quickly, bam a reboot?

Even using the screen keyboard does it.

I am going to try turning off the screen off animation as kingsway8605 has suggested and we will see if that makes a difference.

I had this problem with LGB 1.1 and 1.2, havent had it since switching to PE v5. But now I'm tempted to try LGB 1.3 and see if the problem has resolved for me

i'm having a really strange soft reboot problem.

whenever i connect my usb cable to my phone and try to mount my sd card, it'll start loading like it's trying to connect to my comp and then it'll do a soft reboot. I've tried it like 4 times in a row now and it has rebooted every time, not allowing me to connect my droid to the comp via usb.

Anybody having a similar problem or have a fix for this?
