So the screen on my brand new Droid X just took a crap

I've had the phone for less than a week. About 30 minutes ago I texted my friend, put the phone down, picked it up about a minute later, and the bottom 1/5 of the screen now has that dreaded static-y look that a dead LCD screen has... Verizon said it'll be "no later than" the 23rd before my replacement is shipped.

Overall I was extremely impressed with the device, until this. Has this happened to anybody else?

Motorola confirmed the release of lot of Defective LCD DROID X

I just google searched that, I'm glad they're on top of the problem.

Also I talked to a guy at verizon, and he said that because I was not a new customer (previous verizon customer upgrading), my new phone was already shipped out today, I didn't have to wait until the 23rd. So I should be getting my new one next week.

This is looking a lot better.
