So, I have been rooted 2.2 for months now but my phone can be buggy at times so, what I would like to do is reup with the most current rom for 2.2 (which hopefully is a direct copy of the OTA update) so my questions are:

    1. where am I to find the MOST RECENT legit version of 2.2 to download?

    2. installing the update is as simple as putting the zip in my root SD folder or do I want to put it in my nandroid backup folder? then install from there?

Understand that since I rooted initially I have yet to update my zip so I have not been keeping current with developer updates and this will be my first time doing so... so any key-notes or helpful tips are MUCH appreciated.

    Thanks in advance guys.

No, that's not what he asked for at all. What I gave him is the current update, not FRG22. That is a leaked update not legitimate version.

I thought that FRG22 was rolling out on the 18th after all of the FRG01B updates had been completed. Has this info changed?

WRONG!!! They have FRG22D available in retail stores that is available to flash on your Droid devices, just take the device in and say that tech support told you to have the phone reflashed or something like that, you will be interested in the version you get.

And if you dont want to go into a store, there is a possiblity of FRG22D soon to be floating out there in sbf form.

You don't want to unzip it, just put it on your SD card and do an install.

    Forget the nandroid folder

    Download the file
    Renaame it update.zip
    Put you phone in recovery
    Install update.zip from card

so, put the zip right in my root folder... there is already an update.zip (old one) can I just delete the old before I put the new one in?
