    I used the deprimed kernel on cm7 and I used the slayher kernel and pete's new kernel on the GPA roms, none automatically picked up data after loss of connection. Maybe my droid just doesn't like gb. When I get some downtime I will try Liquid.

    kernel

    It seemed to have something to do with the Ultra Low voltage Kernel. I have been using the Medium Voltage kernel since my last post and havnt had any issues with using maps or anything else.

    @adamrobles
    Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I forgot about this thread. I am running the lv 1.1Ghz. Anything above 1.1 caused bootloops. I tried some of chevys ulv kernels too, but my droid wouldn't even fully boot with those. All of the mv kernels I tried worked well for me, but I get battery life from the the lv ones.

    Glad you got yours all sorted out. I don't think I'll be going back to Froyo now that I've been running GB for awhile.... unless it's SS 4.96.

    Happy modding.

    All I ever wipe when I flash a kernel is cache, dalvick cache, and battery stats (after charging to 100% first). Never had any problems. No need to reset everything.

    Happy modding.

    I'm another one of those people to say that I went back to Froyo for awhile. Well, I got back on the Gingerbread horse yesterday, and I will confirm what others have said in that SS 5.2 is running great for me. I think I've only had one force close, and it was an app and had nothing to do with the ROM. I'm using the stock kernel at 800MHz, and it's extremely snappy. I'm sorry this doesn't help the OP, but Chevy has another satisfied customer.

    "Every time I think I'm out they pull me back in"....fine I'll try again.

    edit: just downloaded and I'm letting the market update my apps. So far this thing is beautiful. I hope it's as smooth as it looks

    Get away from CM7. It's not good, and it never was.

    Peter Alfonso (the guy behind Bugless Beast) has an outstanding AOSP Gingerbread ROM that I have been running for a long time.

    Cm7 works great for me and Pete's Rom is a hot mess of force closes.... I think you (op) should try both because apparently the roms/kernels respond differently to different handsets.

    Cm has never cooperated with my phone, liquid, p.e, and cush2push have worked best for my phone, I get lots of problems with cm, they make good roms, but my phone just don't like them

    CM7 is ridiculously awesome! Do not tell people to stay away from anything. Let him figure out which one he likes and state your opinion. I personally think CM7 nightly build #39 is extremely stable and have had no issues with it.

    Been back at Froyo after 2 - 3 different GB roms that were packed with issues. I know its the actual roms but GB itself. I relay on the phone to much to risk dealing with GB issues.

    Sorry to say to all of the hard working developers but its just not meant for the OG, stability is key and GB on the OG just don't have it.

    My personal Froyo favorite is Sourcery.
