HTC hasn't locked any of their phones bootloaders as far as I know so I dont think it'd be crazy to assume it won't either. of course we'll just have to wait and see ;)

They've been locking bootloaders for awhile now.

*EDIT*

They haven't used encryption in their bootloaders in the past, which made them easier to break.

It's hard to say, without getting our hands on a production phone; to know the condition of the bootloader. I cross my fingers it's not encrypted.

Locked and signed, yes. Encrypted, no.

Interesting. That would deifnitely steer me towards this phone vs. the motorola one, hopefully we find out in short order!
