I pulled my framework-res.apk file form the Liberty ROM and started to change out the .pngs for the battery and what not, but I don't know how to put them back into the folder and where to go from there...

Any help would be great, thanks!

Once I edited the .png's, I open the rom with 7zip and drop the new .png's into the folder I got them from. Basically overwrite them. You can do the same if you extracted the frameworks folder from the rom. Let me know if you have any problems.

Usually I use Metamorph for smaller changes like just the battery status icons.

Bigger stuff is a little more difficult because you have to maintain the integrity of the framework-res.apk, since it's an .apk with multiple folders within the .apk, and not just a folder that you can zip and unzip without doing fancy stuff to it.

Glad to have you, Droid DOES!!
@halffrozen-I'm not at my pc now, but I can give you a link to an update.zip template later. Its a blank template I use to flash just the .apk I themed. So you don't have to flash the whole rom again.

If you wanna metamorph it back in, I can link one of my smaller mm themes and you can use it as template... it's not hard to figure out but it also has to be named correctly or it'll error out about the control file.. oops, I didn't see the above post about the update.zip...
