So Gingerbread Radio?

So I installed Das BAMF ( 3.0 then 2.1) last night, figured out I need a Gingerbread radio... Then found out it bricks people's phones...

Am I correct when I say I can't get a gingerbread ROM like das BAMF working with cellular radio?

Download and flash the new radio through bootloader, reboot, flash rom with clockwork after wiping everything, thats it

rockin sense 3.0 GB

I flashed the new radio and a custom rom (BAMF) before I found threads that said the radio would brick phones. I haven't had any problems. I am running CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC1 now.
