SMS problem

I have been having two problems with messaging. not sure if they are related.

I am using evenbetter keyboard, but not sure if it is the problem
Problem #1
sometimes when i go into a conversation tread, There will be part of a message that I had sent earlier in the conversation already in the "type to compose" field. This happens very often using Gchat but is now also happening in SMS


problem#2 sometimes when typing a message the keyboard freezes and closes, when this happens i have to close the message and wait a few seconds before I can go back and finish the message. I believe this may be a problem with evenbetter keyboard app... but when this happens i slide out the hard-keyboard and it still won't type

I formatted the phone to see if clearing it out would help but the problem remains.....almost makes me feel like i am using a WM phone again.....:angry:

i have never had those problems with sms or gtalk. i'd try deleting that keyboard or at least start uninstalling apps to target your problem. if none of that works i'd say you have a defective droid and i'd take it in and show the ppl the problem. good luck
