SMS Backup apps - Timezone bug

Which sms backup apps that backup to gmail actually work for D2 owners? I've tried about 3 of them, all of them fall victim to the infamous timezone bug, it only backs up my sent messages and not received. Does anyone know any workarounds? I need the app to backup to gmail, not just a backup to sd card kind of thing. And to be honest, this is the ONLY thing holding me back from creating a backup of my phone and putting a ROM on it.
