Slow home screen?

Lately after I unlock my phone screen, it takes a good second or two to load all my icons and widgets. Any idea why this is happening? Happened on my old LG ally but I thought that was just because it was a slower phone.

It could be that an app or two you installed recently is constantly running. Check running processes and see what's currently active.

I know when mine slowed down building the home screen as you describe it was because I had a massive number of apps installed (over 230). When I pared back the number of apps and specifically when I deleted several really large apps, the snappiness returned.
