Is there a way to clear the setting in root manager? Can you tell me the default colors and if i change them back will it make a difference?

NVM I have to retract my claim of UI lag.

I dont know whether it was removing that live wallpaper, adjusting boot apps with autostart, or bumping up my overclock an extra 100mhz...or a combo of all three

my performance woes are completely gone, even the status pulldown is severely diminished (still noticeable, barely)

"adjusting boot apps with autostart," what is this? Is this an app?

only time I notice any lag on the pulldown is when I have several notifications in it, and its the first time Ive pulled it down in a while.

It only hesitates at the very top, and once it comes down it moves quickly with no lag. If I pull it down again right after...I dont get any lag.

Very true, same with mine. BUT, Chevy said something about saving any color change you might do and on the fly colors can slow the bar down, but that the change is still there even after you put the colors back to stock. Can we delete the change in the system folder with root explorer? What are the stock colors anyway?

I'm interested in this file location and change as well.

Would clearing dalvik cache do the trick.

I'm still perplexed by the change in the speed between 4.9 and 4.96 in the pulldown! I reverted back to 4.9 and the change in speed is huge. I'm not sure why there's the difference, but 4.9 is WAY faster. I didn't notice any changes to the colors between the versions so I wonder if this is really the problem??

    tbone,

the app i meant is called autostarts, it lets me adjust when the droid loads programs based on profile conditions (ejecting media, changing wireless/3g mode, rebooting, screen locking...etc)

if you know what your doing you can remove it from automatically making useless apps start with the phone (be careful though, some apps are actually needed even if you think they arent)

That's a good question. I'm not sure if we clear Dalvik cache will erase the previous colors or status bar memory. Do you know what the default colors are?

I'm just checking in to say that I've been using the chevy rom and in the latest Rom, I now have to wait 6 seconds most of the time for the status bar to react to me putting my thumb at the top of the screen. I have to avoid using it and hold home to move around.
