A few of you have mentioned that the pulldown has a lag - there IS a reason for this.

You probably like the on-the-fly color changes for the pulldown - well, that is the cause. To do it on the fly, it must (at each pulldown) reset the colors of anything that is in there. The more info in the pulldown, the slower it will seem.

I will try to improve the performance of this when I get time ... but at least you know the reason ;)

I only had this problem after first installing SS4.95, but after performing a restart the slow response time for the pulldown menu seemed to disappear.

    Thanks for the update Chevy!

I like the on-the-fly pulldown changes as much as the next guy, but perhaps instead of putting the function to reset the colors inside the pulldown function, we could have an "update" button in the ChevyNo1 settings. That way, it could be semi-on-the-fly and increase the pulldown performance.

Just a suggestion though, thank you again!

I initially had the lag with the pulldown menu, even after restarts. I went into each color setting for the pulldown menu but didn't change anything. After that it has worked just like in 4.9.

Actually, that does help quite a bit, good catch.

I think it has to do with the fact that were some settings that I hadn't chosen yet, so it had to pull the default colors constantly.

Edit: oddly enough, it depends on the Color that I choose. If I choose White vs. SS blue for a setting, it seems to be much slower.

For example, I chose White for the Ongoing Title and its much slower than if I choose SS Blue. Weird.

The lag returned so I ended up reflashing the same ROM over the current install. That did the trick and now I have no issues with the statusbar at all.

My lag came back as well. I'm not entirely sure what changed in 4.95 that would have caused this much lag, i looked at the changelog and didn't see anything big.
Its unfortunate because SS has always been awesomely smootg, but this is really hurting the user experience.

I'll be reverting to 4.91 until the next version is out.

I had home screen lag forever, but since going to adw ex and a clean install that's all gone. so I'm not goin back to a older restore point but the pull down lagging is worse haha. sometimes when inside Facebook it just comes down a little bit and freezes. I gotta home button out and then pull down.

It sounds like you may have RAM issues too. Did you guys remove "launcher 2" and try installing android assistant and in the settings check the "auto boost" and set the 'frequency" set it to "10 minutes" this should keep your memory cleaned up. My lag issues are gone.

Removing Launcher2 is key - that being said - it seems SOMETHING in 4.95 caused issues, and I can't 100% pinpoint it. But 4.96 seems to be much better, and I hope to release it soon ...
