Slide sticks, how to clean

Can't really find a topic that this fits in so we'll try here.

Phone: Motorola Droid (Original)

I spilled some juice on my pocket earlier today and didn't think anything of my phone. When I got it out there were a few drops on the screen but nothing that wouldn't just wipe off. Well since whatever made it between the keyboard and screen has dried it is extremely stick and stiff to open. I tried to wipe away any sticky spots I saw but there is still about 3/4" of unexposed area where this is happening. So what can I do?

Good question. I asked this once. No juice, just dirt and stuff that compressed air won't remove.
