Sleep mode in updated Droid 3

You may not want to put that newly updated Droid3 to sleep. My son told me his D3 would not wake up from sleep mode after taking the update, he had to remove the battery, so I tried on mine and sure enough, it won't wake up. I put it on the charger to see if some DC power would wake it, and I saw the charging indicator, but no wake up. Had to remove the battery

Hopefully Motorola will have a fix shortly.

Love Google Talk with video, and the battery life is noticeably improved. Also the video camera seems to be more stable.

Waking Droid 3 out of Sleep Mode

OK, I had this same problem. I think I just figured it out.

Slide open keyboard. Press and release any 6 keys on the keyboard while holding down the power button.

My phone wakes up and connects to the cell network. This even works if I press and release the same key 6 times.
