Sleep Button Problem

I'm having a problem with the sleep button on my droid.

If I press it to make the screen go to sleep, it won't respond at all, but if I hold the button down, it responds and gives me the option to put it in silent mode, airplane mode, or power off, but will not lock the phone as it did earlier in the day.

I'm using the smoked glass theme v4. I tried downgrading the rom to 3.5, loading bugless beast, formatting at the recovery screen then loading the rom, and any combination of those things.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

sounds like something with the ROM to me.

I keep my Droid stock so don't really know.

No its not the ROM at all. You either have or have had the app spare parts on your phone. If you dont have it now you need to install it. What happens is the end button behavior is set to "do nothing" and that saves on your sd card for some reason. You need to change that to "go to sleep" once you do, then your all fixed. You can get rid of spare parts and never worry about that again.

PS- took me so long to figure that out!!!!
