skype via fringe in euro

I have found some threads and info on this topic put i have a tight time constraint and i was looking to get this answer quickly, sorry for possibly starting a double topic.

im from the us, have a us droid and am on verizon. im going to europe for 17 days (ireland, hungrary, austria). i downloaded skype and fringe on my droid. it is possible and or how do i make skype to skype calls with my droid over wifi and will this incur and chages from verizon or anything else?

The Verizon Skype app won't work because it needs a data connection. But Fringe has Skype connectivity built in and should work from any WiFi connection.
