So after owning the Droid 1 since launch day, I've finally decided to root. After reading, and re-reading everything, it seemed like a pretty simple process. Droid 1, stock FRG22D Instead of doing the 1 touch easyroot, I decided to go the sbf/rsd lite route to learn more about the phone. Now come the problems. I've been using the Droid-life link and the MotoCache link as my sources of info: Another Android 2.2 FRG22D Rooting Method for the Motorola DROID | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-labs/74028-root-droid-1-regardless-os-version.html The problem: -After following everything to the T -I run RSD Lite, browse file - add, click Start, goes to 100% but never says PASS (like in Motocache's link), Droidlife youtube link says at this point to just close RSD, unplug USB, and restart into recovery. -Turn off the phone -Restart holding down X and Power -M logo comes up, release Power, still holding X - BAM - get hit with the Triangle exclamation point. If I reboot from here, everything is still normal.... Things I've tried: 1. reinstalled Moto drivers, 32 bit, that I got from the droid life link. v4.2.4, before and after installing RSD lite 2. Retried everything about 4 times. I'm not sure where the problem is. This is the simplest part of the process. Any input?
