So my old HTC incred used to say -93 dBm....bionic says -86 dBm
What does that mean? Is that good?

I believe it's negative because the phone is on the receiving end of the transmission. But I'm no expert at all.

The less negative the number the better the signal. So, since your Bionic is at -86 dBm it's receiving a better signal than you other phone was at -93. But signal strength fluctuates quite a bit. A one-time reading doesn't tell you much.

It is my understanding from technicians with a major booster company that next to the tower should be about -65 db and signal loss will be right around -102 db.
