I'm new to the forum and the phone, so please don't crucify me for starting a new thread if one already exists... that bein said, I'm having issues with signal strength. I discovered that the internal antenna is located at the bottom near the mic, and is subject to interference when holding the phone.
To test this, I went to phone status under settings-about phone-status. Sure enough, when I placed my hand over said area, signal was -101. When I removed my hand, signal went to about -85. While this isn't a big issue if you're in a "good" service area, it makes a huge difference if you are in a less than perfect coverage area.
Bottom line is, are there any ways to boost signal strength (voice and data). External antennas anything? Would like something cheaper than network extender, and something that is mobile. Help!
