Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows how to disable the general "beep" tone that is played when the phone if powered off. I have unchecked the SD notifications, and my phone ringtone and notification ringtone are set to other sounds. I was able to go in and rename the droid.ogg file so my phone doesn't say "droid" on boot, but I would also like to silence the beep as well. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm interested in this also. Does your phone have to be rooted to turn off the "Droid" sound on boot?

I have read about a program in the market called "Silent Boot" that supposedly silences boot up and bood down, but the reviews have been mixed. I am rooted so that was easy to do the boot up by finding the droid.ogg sound file, but I'm not sure what to do about the bood down.
