Should I root?

I just rooted my rezound. I love to root my phones because it really gives you a lot of options on things you can do to make your phone more personalized and faster. Just make sure you do your homework first.

One of the biggest advantages of rooting is the ability to use your phone as a 4G hotspot without having to pay Verizon the extra charge.

I have had the d1 rooted. D2 . And the x 1 . Now I ha e the maxx. Am wondering if its worth rooting? So I haven't rooted since my d1. Is it easier to root now? Or should I wait untill ice cream sandwich?

Easier to root? Yes.

More at stake if you mess something up? Yes.

All of the new Moto devices are locked up, so you need to be wary of that. Also, the new way to flash the phone is with an FXZ file in fastboot mode. Don't know if the Maxx has an FXZ file yet.
