Hi, I was taking a look about rooting your android phone. Like gaining Super-User access, installing new ROMs, and stuff like that. Now I have downloaded Z4 Mod onto my Samsung Galaxy S, but I´m a little afraid of using it.

If it fails in a dangerous state or something like that so I can´t use it anymore...
Well, to my real question: Is Z4 Mod compatible with my phone?

    Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 on :blackdroid:Android OS 2.1update1.

    Any help appreciated.

I rooted my Droid x with z4 running 2.2.1 I don't see why it wouldn't work for you. You can search you tube for rooting your phone. But I would definitely not do anything until you get some help on what exactly to do!

Well, I saw that Z4 was compatible with All Variants of Samsung Galaxy S. So I think it should work.

But I was thinking about if the OS is compatible with it. Like in :iphone: iOS, if you have like, iOS 4.2.1 and a jailbreak program only is compatible with iOS 4.1 it will crash if you try.

I've been wondering this for days, and I don't want to sound stupid, but what hell does rooting your phone mean?
