I went with dmupdator and then installed droidmod 1.0 so at this point I knew everything was safe and backed up, ect.

Now I just installed the adamz smoked glass v2.0 theme. I downloaded it to my computer then mounted the droid and put it in sdcard/androidthemes. Then opened metamorph, selected pick them and apply all. Everything went smooth and is working great.

My question is should I have done some sort of backup before installing the theme?
Or do I have nothing to worry about?

lastly, how do you go back to the stock droidmod 1.0 theme

Sorry for all the noob questions, but we all gotta start somewhere, right?

Well, you probably should've made a backup before applying the theme. Just so you could go back to your setup exactly the way it was if you would ever want to. Because the backup that DroidMod Updater made, was whatever you had *before* you installed DroidMod.

So now your only options would be to restore your *stock* ROM, or you could apply xeudoxus' xStock theme...which is basically the stock theme....

    OR

You could always flash the DroidMod ROM again from the beginning with the app
